CHRISTIAN BROTHERS OCEANIA PROVINCE

The Oceania Province of the Christian Brothers invites applications for the position of Executive Officer, Edmund Rice Camps (NSW). The camps provide quality based holidays and other recreational experiences for young people who otherwise would not be able to access such programs. Established in Australia in 1979, the program is based at Mulgoa but will be relocating to the Sydney Metropolitan Area in the future.

An attractive remuneration package commensurate with responsibilities, skills and experience will be offered to the successful candidate. A three year contract is envisaged.

Key Responsibilities -

• Develop and deliver safe recreational activities for young people
• Manage the administrative and practical aspects of the camps
• Recruit and oversee the coordination and training of staff and volunteers
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures, define standards and expectations
• Develop networks and strategies to ensure the future viability of the programmes
• Develop key relationships with other Edmund Rice Ministries and other members of the Edmund Rice Network

The successful applicant will need relevant tertiary qualifications with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, demonstrated ability to develop and deliver programs, knowledge and understanding of the needs of young people, staff management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to the Edmund Rice philosophy of working with those at the margins of society to foster human dignity.
